FUNDING IN A FLASH Grant Opportunities!

Funding is a Flash is an initiative started in the fall of 2022 and is open to all FTCSC educators, staff and building leaders. The purpose of this initiative is to quickly identify educator/building needs and fund those requests on a monthly basis. Funding requests may be up to $500.
All submitted requests will be reviewed by your building leader and MUST align with at least one FTEF funding priority. FTEF hopes to receive and fund $500 worth of requests each month however approval of the request may be dependent on available funds. Applications are reviewed as they are submitted.
*If you have a funding request greater than $500, please consider applying for one of our Fall Grants.

Guidelines:

  • FTEF will award grade-level specific funding to Pre K – 12 grades and/or building/department grants including (but not limited to) strategic areas of focus: Adaptative Learning, Classroom Enhancements, Health and Wellness (physical, social, emotional), Humanities and Arts, Professional Development, STEM, Technology
  • Maximum awarded = $500
  • Your Grant Proposal must be in keeping with the grade-level FTCSC curriculum, classroom needs & projects or a related field trip
  • Requests should closely align with at least one FTEF Funding Priority (LITERACY. SUPPORT. INCLUSION. CULTURE)
Additional Information:
  • Awarded funds must be spent in the current school year
  • Any project that has been funded three (3) times is not eligible for grant funding. Such projects would be considered for a FTEF budget request. (i.e. Kindergarten Books)
  • Educational jargon or acronyms should be explained.
  • Funding will not be awarded for travel expenses or for purchase of equipment unless the equipment is integral to the project itself.
  • Professional development projects will be considered as long as they support the innovative idea of the grant – not to meet continuing education requirements.
  • Projects that further specific political or religious philosophy will not be considered for funding.
  • Grant request proposals are submitted for consideration and not guaranteed to receive funding.
